QUEENSCLIFF MUSIC FESTIVAL Proudly Presents 'BEST OF THE FEST' at QUEENSCLIFF TOWN HALL, a series of evenings featuring much loved artists who have graced the stages of the Queenscliff Music Festival over the years

    CLARE BOWDITCH
Clare Bowditch is a musician, broadcaster, sometimes actor, speaker, entrepreneur, and author. Somewhat of a slashie you might say.

She has won the coveted ARIA Award for Best Female for her music, the Rolling Stone Woman of the Year Award for her contribution to Australian culture, and has been nominated for a Logie Award for her role as Rosanna on popular television show Offspring.

Her first book, a partial memoir entitled “Your Own Kind Of Girl” was released through Allen & Unwin in Oct 2019 and won the ABIA for Best New Writer. In 2020 she took the themes from her memoir and released a skill-building audio book entitled “Tame Your Inner Critic”.

In music she has toured and performed at every festival, venue and truck-stop Australia has to offer and played with the likes of Leonard Cohen, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, Gotye and John Butler, to name just a few.

    JASMIN ADRIA
“Jasmin evokes some heavy imagery and in her hands / with her voice it hits you that much harder.” (ABC’s Dave Ruby Howe)

Growing up on the Surf Coast of Australia. Jasmin Adria found her deep connection to music through artists such as Joni Mitchell, Courtney Barnett, Janis Joplin and Angie McMahon.
Focusing on a documentary approach to her song writing. Adria sees her music as memories and nicknacks collected from things that she feels, sees and experiences throughout her life.

In 2019 she released her debut single ‘Fake Friends’. Which led to her being approached by ‘ABC’s Behind The News’ to interview Paul Kelly for Aus Music Month.
She released her single ‘DIVOC’ (2021 Which reflected life during the Pandemic.
Adria’s Eco Anxiety call for help came in 2022 with ‘Brown Skies’. Which vocalised the  widespread feeling of frustration and anger from the lack of environmental action. This lead to Adria featuring in Triple J' s 'Class of 2022', which consists of the the top 16 high school artists in Australia.
In 2024 she played festivals such as Port Fairy Folk Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival.

Adria has performed and worked beside artists such as; Ben Lee, Ainslie Wills, The Belair Lip Bombs and Bones and Jones.

    FENN WILSON (solo)
Fenn mines for solace in bold, painstakingly crafted songs...explosive and tender by turns..the final track marries the whole fleeting lot in a devastating invocation of impermanence.” Michael Dwyer, The Age, 15.4.23

“Although Fenn’s delicious timbre requires exactly zero embellishment, instrumentation throughout his second album serves only to cradle and enhance.” Bryget Chrysfield, Beat, 13.4.23

“ Fenn Wilson is one of my favourite singers in the world.” Tim Rogers, October 2021

Fenn Wilson’s lyrics turn pain into poetry, laced with light; compassion and wisdom beyond his years imbue every line.
He is mesmerising on stage, either solo or surrounded by his skilled and sensitive sidemen, creating thunderstorm dynamics reminiscent of Jeff Buckley.
Fenn’s songcraft is astounding; echoes of a young John Martyn or Glenn Hansard filter through in his faultless guitar rhythms and cunning doubling of vocal melodies. Memorable hooks abound, without a trace of gimmick or cliché.
    And then there’s his voice.

2019/20 saw Fenn selected to showcase at both Ausmusic Week and the International Folk Alliance Conference, The Exchange. Performing with Tim Rogers, receiving Port Fairy Folk Festival’s Emerging Artist of the Year Award and launching his debut album, Ghost Heroin, to a sellout crowd in Melbourne were all highlights. Lately Fenn has toured with Tex Perkins and Watty Thompson, opened for Vika And Linda Bull at The Palais Theatre and launched his second album, HONEY DATES DEATH/GHAZALS with an East Coast tour and sell-out show at The Curtin in Melbourne. Fenn and his band will be in Europe and the UK for the rest of 2023.
